I had been doing a lot of research on the subject of selling my breast milk. I came across a few sites that seemed promising and I saw women selling their milk for almost $5 per oz!! Fantastic! This is huge! Right? Well, before I made any kind of contact or posted my milk for sale I decided to look more into who actually bought milk. I was not happy with the things I found.
Without going into much detail, the majority of buyers were men. Some for "fitness/health" reasons. Others not so much!!!!! NO WAY was I going to sell my babies food to some man/men I didn't know who would be doing God knows what with the milk I used to feed my innocent, precious new child! Gross!!! The excitement was over.
I don't know exactly how I found the Mother’s Milk Co-op on Facebook, but I did. I assumed it would be just like the other sites I had seen, but I thought I would go ahead and look to see what exactly they did. I googled them and found a lot of good feedback from mommies and read articles about what a good thing this co-op was doing. Biggest seller......they sell the milk to mommies for BABIES not men!
At a dollar an ounce, by the time my 3 month-old is one year old I should be able to have quit my job, finish school , and have some money put away for a rainy day!! I am a single mom who moved back home because the living situation with my boyfriend deemed to be dangerous in the future for both me and my baby. I'm so glad to be a part of this and I am giving a special thank you to Adrianne Weir for starting this program!! It is exactly what I need to achieve my goals and be home as much as possible so I can give my kids the best life imaginable!!!
